Glendale Historical Attractions

 
Glendale’s Sahuaro Ranch Park was a 640 acre homestead which housed fruit orchards, vineyards and date palms. Today Glendale is the oldest and one of the best preserved attractions; it contains 17 original buildings, home tours and special events flashing the agricultural history of the city.

It is highly acclaimed for its 100 yrs of history, agricultural ingenuity and architectural uniqueness. It housed 60 acres of the ranch’s orchards, 20 acres of historic park site which has been created from the original ranch complex.

The Sahuaro Ranch is recognized as the ‘Showplace of the Valley’ for its original buildings and grounds. Here you will get an opportunity to see a very impressive and interesting main house museum which will take you to the eighteenth century.

The Sahuaro Ranch offers many picnic areas and grills and these are available on the first-come, first served basis. The main house of the Sahuaro Ranch remains open from September to May, Wednesday to Saturday during 10 am-2 pm and on Sunday from 1 pm- 4 pm. This free tour lasts for half an hour.
